Teaching Techniques Used

Playgroup: Our Team

Questioning

Questioning is a process that gains new information to increase the understanding of something or to compare our understanding with those of other people. (MacNaughton, & Williams, 2009).

In this lesson, questioning is observed at 5:00 by asking the children whether I was shaking the instrument quickly or slowly. This will help me to check their understanding of the concept.

Demonstration

In this lesson, demonstration is observed at both 1:24 and 1:42 respectively to demonstrate the meaning of fast and slow tempo. It is also being implemented at 2:14 by demonstrating to the children how to properly play the instrument.
