Setting rules and boundaries
Giving Choices
Verbal & Non-verbal message agree
Nonverbal communication is important for strengthening your verbal messages to your child (Ministry of Social & Family, n.d.)
Scaffolding
Scaffolding refers to a variety of instructional techniques used to move students progressively toward stronger understanding and, ultimately, greater independence in the learning process. (Glossary of Education, 2015)
Explicit Instructions
Asking Questions
More Knowledgable other to demonstrate

Guidance
In this lesson, I used verbal & non-verbal cues and message agree for the children to reinforce my words and to strengthen my verbal message (Ministry of Social and Family, n.d.).
I also set rules and boundaries to ensure that the children are aware of the expectation during the lesson. Lastly, I gave children choices, to encourage and develop a sense of autonomy.
Verbal & Non-verbal message agree (02:55-02:57) & (03:06-03:09)
Setting rules and boundaries (03:48-03:51)
Give choices (03:53-04:00) & (06:06-06:12)

Scaffolding
To assist the children to better understand the lesson, I used explicit instructions for the activity done, which helped in making them more in tune with the lesson.
Open-ended questions were asked during the lesson for children to think critically. I used a more knowledgeable child to help demonstrate the activity as well, all these strategies will assist in ensuring that the children achieve the objectives of this lesson.
Explicit Instructions (0:36-041) & (05:21-05:35)
Asking Questions (02:51 - 02:57)
More Knowledgeable other to demonstrate (04:55 - 05:03) & (06:12 - 06:20)
